My dear Varadachari,
....
Laziness
For your experience I am writing to you a case where grossness was due to his laziness. After 15 years I could know the cause of it. You know the man. He is Mr. N. Kuppuswamy. I tried my level best whenever I met him and removed his grossness with great difficulty, but it again relapsed. So this time after my illness at Raichur when I reached Hyderabad I could read out the cause of it. I told him that your laziness is the cause of all this grossness and I have prescribed walking and manual labour and also that his wife will not do the marketing any more and he will do all his housework except cooking in her stead. He has started the work and now grossness is being removed automatically. During Utsava when Shri Mahendrakar met me I sent words to Mr. Kumaraswamy through him that if he does not follow the instructions given by me, he would decidedly suffer from cancer, and I found its causes under formation. This is my strange experience that laziness can also breed cancer. I have come to the point that laziness is surrender to the self. In other words, a lazy man surrenders to the self which is suicidal for spiritual growth. I am also very lazy but in household work. Please pray that this habit of mine may be removed.
Love to children and respects to Appaji.
Yours,
Ram Chandra

My dear and revered Gurudev,
....
Distress
I am unhappy over the growing developments and pray that I may have peace of mind-which is thoroughly gone. "You wrote about a year ago that I am in the changeless state and there is no movement at all." In January my sister St. Kasturi cast doubts on that statement and held that I had not after all reached the limit. In any case it is clear that my mental peace is very much shattered. I do not know the reason. It has of course grave consequences in our appraisal of the ultimate state possible under our system. Further I had asked the question why even in a very high state far above the circles or rings of splendour there is the growth of resistance to the Ultimate dissolution or absorption or mergence. You have not so far replied to me on that matter. That may also explain the reason why I am in this peaceless condition, though obviously granting peace or calm through transmission to others.
I fully realise that you require freedom from organisational work for the sake of spiritual work. I trust every one will cooperate with you. But I must utter a word of warning if I ought not be misunderstood. Let us not commercialise our Mission, and in embarking upon works which are not immediately helpful to spiritual development of the abhyasis. We have to imbue the sense of Mission-spiritual, and not mix it up with other ends. If I am not to be misunderstood I believe some things can be thrashed out with other seekers who also know about the deviations that take place in spiritual work. I trust you will not misunderstand me.
....
With loving pranams.
Yours as ever,
KCV

My dear Varadachari,
.... Regarding philosophy of our system whatever you have written will be the correct representation because you can better understand this subject. When I dictate any such thing I am not much aware of that I am dictating. Even afterwards I understand but a little what I have done. I feel that I have become blind to this world and have opened myself to the Divine. Whatever falls to my lot, I am happy. At present I do not know whether I am in Reality or I am with Reality. What I remember the most is the pain only in my stomach when it is unbearable.
Condition of Dr.K.C.V.
I can say with certainty that you are in Absolute Reality without minding what Kasturi has said. Saint Kasturi also uttered the same thing at Madras. I told her plainly she is absolutely wrong. She is after all a student under me and I am the student but under the Master whom the world will remember ever and after.
Swimming in the Limitless
I again emphasis that you have crossed the limit of approach and swimming in the Limitless. I know that the peace is disturbed on account of some such circumstances but it is in surface alone and it is the state of humanity, but if you think it deeply you will find inner calmness. You have written to me that there is the growth of resistance to the Ultimate dissolution or mergence. Mergence is there without doubt and it is not the resistance, but in such a state a man having absorbed in Reality, feels linked with other side also, i.e. the world. It is natural for the humanity because humanity cannot survive without it, and it is essential also because we have to exist as human being first till we close our eyes permanently. It is the secret of Nature. I have just said that these anxieties remain at the surface. When one ponders over it they aggravate, because the power is there. If such things strike, take out that thought with mild and natural force. I wanted to write it very elaborately but I couldn't do it much. If you ask the questions about it will try again.
Organisation
I always appreciate your suggestions and to the best of my power allowed that to flow in. I also hold that Mission should not be commercialised in any way so it will not trade at all. I never misunderstand you and I will be grateful if you say all what you want for the good of the Mission. I did one thing that I admitted advertisements in the Magazine to compensate the loss we are incurring in the press. I also welcomed the suggestion for Life membership for the magazine but it is voluntary not compulsory.
With respect to Appaji and love to children,
Yours,
Ram Chandra

Personal
My dear Varadachari,
Seminar
I had already said to the preceptors of the Mission to write their experiences in Sahaj Marg method of training to have the third part of the Method of Training cyclostyled. You have put the said idea, which I was contemplating, for a seminar or symposium. I entirely agree with you. Please have it at Tirupati and inform all concerned. I want to let you know that the preceptors in Southern India are far better in condition and calibre than the Northern ones. So their experiences will be very valuable... ...
....
Love to children and respects to Appaji.
Yours affectionately,
Ram Chandra

My dear Varadachari,
I shall pray my Master further to do what is necessary or if He gives me your charge for a week I shall try to bring inner and out as one. Regarding your present condition there is no deficiency at all and immense power is there. There is a minor distance between inner and out and it is not the deficiency, if you view it with higher angles.
....
The protection we will have to give. A light thought of protection from you at times will be enough for both husband and wife and he will write to you when necessary... ...
Love to children and respect to Appaji.
Yours,
Ram Chandra
